SIMEON Commercial Properties was selected as the master
developer for this site in a "Request for Proposal"
process with the Port of Oakland in 2000. Subsequently,
SIMEON worked closely with the Port of Oakland and the
City of Oakland to master plan and entitle this 23 acre
site for the development of a transit oriented business
campus. The proposed development includes 1.3 million
square feet of office space and a 300-room full service
hotel. The development will be served on site by a BART
Connector Station that will link the project directly
to Oakland International Airport and the entire Bay Area
BART system through the Coliseum BART station. |
